AlgoStyle App Privacy Policy

This policy covers the AlgoStyle mobile app for individual users. If you are a Shopify merchant using our store app, the merchant privacy policy applies to you instead.
AlgoStyle is operated by WIF PTE. LTD., trading as AlgoStyle, a company incorporated in Singapore ("AlgoStyle", "we", "us"). The app is offered to users in the United States, and the data you give us is stored on servers in the United States.
We wrote this in plain English on purpose. If something here is unclear, email us at fit@algostyle.co and we will explain it.
The short version
- We use your photos to work out your body shape, your colouring, and what clothes suit you. That is the whole product.
- We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold it and we do not plan to.
- We do not use your face to identify you. We do not build faceprints or face-geometry templates, and we cannot recognise you in another photo.
- You can ask us to delete everything, and we will.
- The app is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.

Information we generate about you
- Style analysis results — your body-shape classification, style-identity classification, colour season, recommended palette.
- Recommendations and your reactions to them — the outfits we suggest, and which ones you liked, skipped, or saved.
- Try-on images — AI-generated pictures showing you in a garment.
Information we collect automatically
- IP address and device/browser type, recorded with each sign-in session for security.
- A push notification token, if you turn on notifications.
We do not use advertising identifiers, third-party ad networks, or cross-app tracking. We do not run analytics SDKs that follow you around the internet.
2. About your photos
Your photos are the most personal thing you give us, so this section is specific.
Where they go. Photos are uploaded to encrypted object storage and sent to the AI providers listed in section 4 for analysis. The analysis returns a set of attributes — for example "shoulders narrower than hips", "warm undertone", "soft autumn". Those attributes, not the photo, drive your recommendations.
Who can look at them. A very small number of AlgoStyle staff can access photos, and only to investigate a specific problem — a failed analysis, a support ticket you raised, or a suspected policy violation. We do not browse user photos.
What we do not do with them.
- We do not sell, rent, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your photos or the analysis derived from them.
- We do not create a scan of your face geometry, a faceprint, a fingerprint, an iris scan, a voiceprint, or any other template capable of identifying you. Our analysis reads colour and proportion; it is not identification technology and cannot be used to find you in another image.
- We do not use your photos to train general-purpose AI models, and our agreements with our AI providers prohibit them from doing so with your images.
- We do not publish your photos or try-on images, or show them to other users. There is no social feed.
Try-on images. When you use virtual try-on, we generate a new image that keeps your face, hair, pose, and background and replaces a garment. These images are synthetic — they show a computer's guess at how something would look, not a photograph of a real event. They are visible only to you.
How long we keep them. See section 6.
3. Sensitive information
Some of what we handle is treated as sensitive under US state privacy laws — photographs of you, your date of birth, and information about your body.
Two things worth stating plainly:
- We infer whether the person in the photo appears to be a woman. AlgoStyle currently only supports womenswear, so our photo check looks for this and declines photos it reads as male, offering a waitlist instead. This inference is used only to route that decision. It is not shared, and it is not used to profile you.
- We do not infer health conditions. Body shape and clothing size are fit measurements. We do not diagnose anything, and we do not treat this as health data or share it with anyone in the health or insurance industries.
We process this information only to provide the features you asked for, and we do not use it for any secondary purpose.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the app, under contracts that limit them to that purpose. None of these are advertising companies, and we receive no payment from any of them.

Beyond that, we may disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect someone's safety or our legal rights. If we are ever acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner — who would remain bound by this policy or give you notice before changing it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Under US state privacy laws that use those terms, we have nothing to opt out of.
5. Automated decisions
Your recommendations are produced by AI, without a human reviewing each one. Two consequences worth knowing:
- The analysis can be wrong. Style classification is subjective and the models are imperfect. Treat the output as a suggestion, not a verdict about your body.
- You can override it. You can turn off any of the three analyses in the app, edit your sizes and preferences, correct how an item was categorised, and skip recommendations you dislike. Nothing about your account is decided by AI alone in a way that affects your legal rights.
6. How long we keep things

Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so deleted data can persist in backups for a short period before being fully overwritten.
7. Your choices and rights
Regardless of which state you live in, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Give you a copy of it.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Delete your account and everything in it.
- Stop — withdraw consent for the optional face photo or try-on at any time, without losing the rest of the app.
Email fit@algostyle.co from your account address. We will respond within 45 days, and we will not charge you or degrade your service for asking.
Depending on where you live, some of these are legal rights rather than a courtesy — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and other states grant versions of them. We honour them for every US user rather than checking your address first.
Notifications. Turn off daily outfit notifications in Settings, or at the operating-system level.
Do Not Track. The app is not a website and does not respond to browser DNT signals. We do not track you across other services in any case.
8. Children
AlgoStyle is for adults. You must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we delete the account and its contents. If you believe a minor is using the app, email fit@algostyle.co.
9. Security
Photos are encrypted in storage and in transit. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email — we never store a password for you.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Singapore and international
WIF PTE. LTD. is a Singapore company trading as AlgoStyle, so Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act also applies to how we handle your information. Our staff in Singapore may access US-stored data to operate and support the service.

The app is intended for users in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you are transferring your information to the US and Singapore.
11. Changes
We will update this page and the date at the top when things change. If a change materially affects how we use your photos, we will notify you in the app and ask you to accept it before it takes effect.
